Logan Mailloux linked to the Nashville Predators in a possible Yaroslav Askarov trade
Rob Couch has just caused a surprise by involving Logan Mailloux in the Yaroslav Askarov trade talks.
It's interesting to see that this comes directly from Nashville, where they believe the Montreal Canadiens could be a realistic destination for Askarov, and more importantly, that they want Mailloux in return.
Let's remember that Predators GM Barry Trotz is currently actively trying to trade his young star goalie, simply because he's too good to be a backup behind the incredible Juuse Saros. (who just signed a massive 8-year contract in Nashville)

He then adds that they know very well the Canadiens won't trade Kaiden Guhle, Lane Hutson, or David Reinbacher.
So, he believes that leaves Logan Mailloux.
It's also worth noting that, during the 2023 draft live from Nashville, Kent Hughes refused a major trade offer from the Predators involving Yaroslav Askarov.
It was a trade offer for the 5th overall pick, which ultimately became David Reinbacher.

Askarov, 22 years old, is a 6-foot-3 goalie drafted 11th overall in 2020 (1st round).
Mailloux, 21 years old, is a 6-foot-3 defenseman drafted 31st overall in 2021 (1st round).
