Major announcement on waivers and the Canadiens have officially added reinforcement to Laval with Brandon Gignac
We've seen more NHL waivers action in the last few minutes.
Firstly, unsurprisingly, Adam Ruzicka was placed (unconditionally) on waivers, and his contract will be terminated by the Arizona Coyotes.
Secondly, good news!
Brandon Gignac was not claimed and will be sent to the Laval Rocket
In fact, the Canadiens wasted no time in confirming this:
"The Canadiens have assigned forward Brandon Gignac to the Rocket." - Laval Rocket
Gignac will thus return to the Habs' farm team, and JF Houle will surely greatly appreciate this reinforcement.
