We have an important trade to announce. A pick that was certainly targeted by Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens, the 11th overall pick in tomorrow night's draft (first-round selection) has just been involved in a trade.

The 11th Overall Pick is Traded to the San Jose Sharks

Here is the official announcement.

«The Buffalo Sabres have acquired a 2024 NHL Draft first-round pick (14th overall) and a 2024 NHL Draft second-round pick (42nd overall) from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a 2024 NHL Draft first-round pick (11th overall)» - Buffalo Sabres

Basically, the 11th overall pick is traded for the 14th overall pick and the 42nd overall pick (both in the 2024 draft).

This promises to be exciting tomorrow night. The action is starting!

Clearly, the San Jose Sharks are very active in the trade market and want to make moves while waiting to add the excellent Macklin Celebrini to their lineup.

Details will follow.

This gives a good idea of the price to pay to move up a first-round pick for tomorrow night's draft.

Let's not forget that the Montreal Canadiens currently hold the 5th and 26th overall picks.
