Trade announced by the Canadiens involving Josh Anderson? Surprise development
The matter of a trade involving Josh Anderson has resurfaced, and this is good news for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.

Josh Anderson traded to a team that still believes in him?
Here's what he said, referring to the Canadiens' number 17 forward.
I know a lot of people have lost faith in him, but I think that's largely because he doesn't fit very well with the team's style of play.
A team with a north-south forechecking style could, however, view Anderson as a perfect reclamation project.

As Engels mentions, would a team be willing to acquire Anderson at 100% of his salary? That's the big question, especially since the Hurricanes are already dealing with Jesperi Kotkaniemi's hefty contract.
Josh Anderson, 30 years old, 6 feet 3 inches, and 225 pounds, tallied 20 points in 78 games this season, including nine goals. In his NHL career, he has accumulated 223 points, including 131 goals, in 535 games.
Anderson is signed through 2027, at 5.5 million dollars per year.
