While fans of the Montreal Canadiens are eager to see Kent Hughes finally make a trade, particularly for a top 6 forward, we have some news.
New York radio host "Incarcerated Bob," who always has big scoops regarding the NHL and the Habs, has just posted an interesting update.
He, who was notably the first to announce the scoop of Martin St-Louis' hiring by the Canadiens and the first to announce the Alex Newhook trade, has just posted this:
« League usually slows down after the first week of free agency and picks back up heading into August.. Habs are still searching for scoring and wouldn't be surprised if we see a move before or during camp.
Rangers fans can expect a little trade shakeup, Isles also still shopping.»

Interesting! The Canadiens are still active in trying to complete a trade involving a scorer.
Kent Hughes is still trying to make a trade, New York as well
After all, it's not surprising to learn that Kent Hughes could make a move in the middle of summer, as he has already completed some trades in August and July since taking office.
We can think of the trade to acquire Sean Monahan from the Calgary Flames and the trade to acquire Mike Matheson from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Let's keep hope, then!
Martin Necas, Patrik Laine, and Rutger McGroarty, who have all requested trades (to varying degrees), have not been traded as of now.
Especially in the case of Laine, it is absolutely expected that this will happen before October.
Files to follow.
It should also be noted that Bob expects the New York Islanders to move, as well as the New York Rangers.
Is he talking about Kaapo Kakko here?
