Earlier today, the Arizona Coyotes released an official statement to talk about their future plans and a new arena project.
It didn't attract much attention, because understandably, the fans are a little tired of hearing the same speech and the same dubious solutions to keep the team in Arizona.
However, the Coyotes found a way to make their statement talked about, and not just a little, but not necessarily for the right reasons.
Nobody is talking about their new project, but everyone is talking about their very bewildering statement about Connor Bedard and Logan Cooley.
See the passage in question:
"We extremely loyal and passionate fans are extremely excited about our team and the incredible additions we have made this summer, including [...] the best prospect in the world, Logan Cooley."
- Arizona Coyotes
Do they really consider Cooley to be the best prospect in the world? Better than Connor Bedard!
Better than Adam Fantilli, Leo Carlsson, Juraj Slafkovsky, Matvei Michkov, and company? It's quite a statement in any case! Especially in the case of Bedard!
Do they want us to believe that they would refuse to trade Cooley for Bedard? In any case, you can guess that it's causing a buzz right now, and it doesn't look very serious on their part.
