The former member of the Tricolore organization is still free as the wind, and many of you are asking us for news of the Slovak.
Well, we have it now!
According to information from the reputable Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Pittsburgh Penguins are intending to sign Tomas Tatar.
In any case, it points in that direction. Tatar is in the sights of the Penguins, and a signing could really be imminent.
Stay tuned! More details will follow.
Ironically, it is apparently Kent Hughes and the CH who might enable Kyle Dubas and the Penguins to get their hands on Tatar (having taken the contracts of Casey DeSmith and Jeff Petry, among others).
In this exchange, Pittsburgh freed up $3.1 million on its cap, an amount that would be used to sign a forward like Tatar.
We're talking about an exemplary forward in a locker room, who just had a 48-point season, including 20 goals, with the New Jersey Devils. It's not nothing!
He has seven seasons of at least 20 goals and is very reliable defensively.
Tomas Tatar would be a very interesting addition to the Pittsburgh Penguins' lineup, without a doubt.
