Only days after Patrice Bergeon announced his retirement, they made a major announcement that the fans eagerly awaited.
His #37 jersey will officially be retired.
Here's what Cam Neely, President of the Bruins, declared:
"It's not a question of if, but when.
The Boston Bruins will retire Patrice Bergeron's number 37," confirmed Cam Neely, the club's president.
"Without a shadow of a doubt (number 37 will be retired by the Bruins)," he emphasized, whose number 8 hangs from the TD Garden ceiling.
Neely adds:
"We'll find the right moment!"
We're really looking forward to see that! And obviously, it's absolutely well-deserved and a very easy decision for them.
Bergeron's impact in Boston is legendary and this will cement his legacy for years to come.
