The journalist says that Patrick Kane took advantage of his visit to the city to have dinner with two CH players, his former teammate Kirby Dach and, funnily enough, Cole Caufield (which is a nice surprise).
Hats off to Kane for this very nice gesture, and to two young Canadiens players as well!
One has to wonder if the two players spoke well of the city and the organization to the veteran Rangers forward. Kane will be an uncompensated free agent this summer and will be able to choose his destination for the next few years.
Even though he is getting older, Kane is still quite a hockey player. He has 17 goals, 30 assists and 47 points in 57 games with the Blackhawks and Rangers. For comparison's sake, he would be the CH's 2nd leading scorer, two points behind Nick Suzuki...
Could he be the new Artemi Panarin to Jeff Gorton? At a price that makes sense, for one or two seasons, why not? The CH would be another original formation to put in his palmares!
Well, some people dream about it, but our wish is that Kane could have given Cole Caufield a few things. We're talking about one of the best wingers in NHL history and he's not the most physically imposing player either.
Patrick Kane can certainly be a solid ally for Caufield, and also obviously for his former teammate Kirby Dach.
