Here's what has just been publicly released.
The Denver Post reported that Valeri Nichushkin was involved in an incident involving the police, at the team hotel in Seattle, resulting in the transport to the hospital of a woman found intoxicated in his room for treatment.
Nichushkin left Seattle that day. A very big story.
Nichushkin has been away from the team since and will remain so for an indefinite period.
The Denver Post also reports this:
Team employees found the woman when they went to check on Nichushkin in his room at the downtown Seattle Four Seasons hotel, where the Avs were staying, according to the incident report.
The team doctor deemed her too intoxicated to safely leave the hotel in a taxi and called 911 at about 3:20 p.m. local time, the report said.
The 28-year-old woman, whom The Post is not identifying, told authorities she was from Russia and born in Ukraine, and said "she should never have come to the United States and that a guy took her passport and he was a bad person."
