We were talking about it a few days ago, but unfortunately, it's confirmed for forward Jonathan Drouin.

Drouin on the 4th line soon?

After spending several weeks on the Avalanche's 1st line with Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen, Drouin has recently been sent to the 2nd line.

And this morning, he was sent to the 3rd line:

« Lehkonen - MacKinnon - Rantanen

Wood - Colton - LOC

Drouin - Johansen - Parise

Nichushkin - Cogliano - Kiviranta (MacDermid) »

- Brennan Vogt

Where it could get complicated is when you realize that the one on the 4th line, behind Jonathan Drouin, is none other than Valeri Nichushkin.

A player who has 42 points in 40 games this season.

He is behind Drouin because he has just returned to play, but he will inevitably surpass the Quebec forward soon in the hierarchy there.

Would this send Drouin to the fourth line?

To be continued, but let's hope Jonathan can start producing quickly because things were going so well for him.

After a streak of 19 points in 19 games, Drouin followed that up with 7 points in his last 19 games.

Ultimately, this season, Drouin (28 years old) accumulates 32 points in 57 games, a pace of 45 points / 82 games.

He was at 42 points / 82 games last season with the Montreal Canadiens.

Case to follow!
