ESPN journalist John Buccigross has new information regarding the accident that claimed the lives of Matthew Gaudreau and Johnny Gaudreau, just before their sister's wedding.

It's absolutely horrible to say, but some people's only reaction after the tragedy was to ask what the Gaudreau brothers were doing on their bikes at around 8:15 PM (which is not unusual at all).

This question is entirely inappropriate, especially given the circumstances, but Buccigross has nonetheless provided an answer.

«We have learned that they were returning from a rehearsal for their sister Katie Gaudreau's wedding, which was scheduled for the next day, where they were both named groomsmen.

They were about 10 minutes away from the family residence on their bikes when they were fatally struck.»

- Marco Normandin

It's unfortunate to note that they were hit while riding their bikes by Sean Higgins, who admitted to having drunk 5-6 beers before getting behind the wheel and made a very dangerous overtaking maneuver, according to some witnesses at the scene.

A report by journalist Steve Keeley on the deaths of Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau

Check out the report in question, which summarizes this terrible tragedy well, especially for those who have been disconnected from their phones and televisions in recent days.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Gaudreau family, their loved ones, wives, and children.
