We are in an era where National Hockey League teams love to take jabs at each other on social media, but the Dallas Stars seem to be an exception.
We've seen it with the New Jersey Devils and the New York Rangers, we've seen it with the Vegas Golden Knights, we've seen it with the Carolina Hurricanes (against the Montreal Canadiens), and we've seen it with several other teams.
However, in the last few hours, the Dallas Stars have sent a very different kind of message to the Montreal Canadiens.
A member of their organization, evidently from the social media team, took the time to send a beautiful message of admiration to Habs fans.
The Dallas Stars Show a Gesture of Respect Toward the Montreal Canadiens
Here is the post in question:
We love it!
Unfortunately, it's becoming increasingly rare to see this kind of thing on social media these days, but it's truly heartwarming and congratulations to the Dallas Stars for this gesture.
The Stars currently rank 7th in the overall NHL standings, with a total of 55 points in 41 games, and they are in a strong position to make the playoffs this season.
The Canadiens currently rank 18th in the overall NHL standings, with a total of 44 points in 42 games. They are in the thick of the playoff race - two points behind the Columbus Blue Jackets, but with a game in hand (as well as three games in hand on the Boston Bruins).
