As we mentioned over the weekend, several Montreal Canadiens players, including Logan Mailloux, Arber Xhekaj, and Juraj Slafkovsky, made their presence felt at the LASSO festival in Montreal.
It was great to see.
Nick Suzuki, Arber Xhekaj, Josh Anderson, Juraj Slafkovsky, and Kaiden Guhle electrified the crowd.
In short, this morning, there is one specific photo that is causing a stir among fans and in the media, a photo involving Slaf and Arber.
See the photo in question here:
Why is it causing a buzz? Due to the very noticeable difference in the builds of Slafkovsky and Xhekaj.
Last season, they had practically identical physiques. (6 feet 3 inches / 239 pounds for the Slovak and 6 feet 4 inches / 238 pounds for WiFi)
Now, Xhekaj seems to be much more massive than Slafkovsky, confirming that the latter was telling the truth when he said he had lost a lot of weight this summer.
Recall that it was a major goal for Slafkovsky, in order to gain speed and agility.
Clearly, he can say mission accomplished, and we are extremely excited to see the results on the ice with a lighter Slaf.
