Taking a good look at the St. Louis Blues' starting goaltender tonight, one may remain surprised. It's Charlie Lindgren who will be facing the Montreal Canadiens, the organization's former goaltender.
He will obviously try to make his former team regret never having offered him a real chance to prove himself in the big league. Remember that the Habs had a surplus of goalies in its hierarchy with Primeau and McNiven, which pushed him out of the organization.
The right-handed goaltender is doing very well these days, having won both of his starts with the Blues so far, maintaining an excellent .941 save percentage. With confidence and quality time, obviously he can do great things.
Plus, with the Habs decimated lineup, it could clearly make his job easier. Several of the Tricolore's big guns are missing, let's remember.
