The Habs were back on the ice this morning following their loss to the New York Rangers. Christian Dvorak was not with his teammates as he was getting a day of treatment.

That said, Joel Edmundson, who was supposed to join the group on the ice in Brossard today, was not able to do so. The colossal defenseman, who Jeff Petry dreams of seeing again, skated solo before his teammates.

While we're on the subject of defense, it looks like Mattias Norlinder will make his debut on Thursday when the Habs host the Pittsburgh Penguins and Sidney Crosby. In short, the young Norlinder would find himself on the 3rd defensive pair with David Savard. Sami Niku and Chris Wideman were the fourth pair.

This looks like a little guy who will be playing his first game in the National Hockey League soon!

Offensively, with the absence of Dvorak, it was Ryan Poehling who was the center of Jonathan Drouin and Brendan Gallagher. Poehling was also the center of the 4th trio during the drills.

In short, Edmundson is still a few days, if not weeks away from a return to his teammates. Worrying, isn't it?
