Connor Bedard Scores His First Goal As A Blackhawk: Stuns Opposing Goaltender With Beautiful Shot
Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks are currently participating in a prospect tournament and their opponents are the St. Louis Blues. The game has many first-round talents participating including Zach Dean, Zach Bolduc, Kevin Korchinski, Nolan Allen, and obviously Connor Bedard.
In the second period, the Blackhawks got a powerplay and the puck unsurprisingly ended up on Connor Bedard's stick. It did not take him long to work his magic.
The release point on Bedard's shot is the most impressive thing about this goal. He went and changed the angle fooling the goalie from a low shot to a high-rising shot that picked the top corner.
With a shot like this, Bedard's hype is unmatched. He has a chance to do the first thing somebody has not done since McDavid which is score at a point-per-game pace as an 18-year-old rookie but if he can continue to get looks like this, he will fill the opponent's nets.
