It appears that the City of Winnipeg really wants Barry Trotz to become the Jets' head coach. The Little Brown Jug Brewing Company has offered the Manitoba native free beer for life if he chooses Winnipeg as his next destination.
Brewery owner Kevin Selch had a conversation with company employee James Hofer and came up with the idea.
"I just thought it would be a fun little initiative. We thought people would enjoy it and, who knows, maybe it could bring the coach here." - James Hofer
Here's the official video of the offer on Winnipeg Sports Talk:
The Brewery is also offering to create and name a beer in honor of Trotz. Suggestions include Trotz Homecoming Lager, Trotz Praire Pilsner and Barry's Dauphin Draft. That will be up to Trotz himself to decide.
