They gave us a hint over the last few hours.
But it's now confirmed.
The Trois-Rivières Lions, affiliated with the Montreal Canadiens, have indeed just announced the signing of the tall left-handed defenseman Marc-Antoine Pépin.
"Marc-Antoine Pépin will start his very first season with the Trois-Rivières Lions on October 20th!
The 6'4'' defenseman will strengthen the team's defense and also contribute to its offense, thanks to his excellent skating skills!" - Trois-Rivières Lions
Pépin, originally from Trois-Rivières, is a 6-foot-4 D-man who was invited by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He is 22 years old and left-handed.
He racked up 24 points in 32 games with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in 2022, in the QMJHL. (15 points in 31 games with the Shawinigan Cataractes)
Details to follow.
