We know that the connection between Brendan Gallagher, Artturi Lehkonen and Tomas Plekanec is very strong, even though Pleky hasn't been with the team for a little over two years. Plekanec and Lehkonen are soccer (foot) fans, and then they love to tease Gally on social media about it since he's not a big connoisseur, even though he likes the sport. Last December, the three lovebirds actually chatted about it via Twitter.
Plekanec made fun of the little number 11's soccer knowledge after the latter taunted the former number 14 about his advanced age. Very funny and entertaining.
This week, Lehkonen and Gallagher had some more fun on Twitter, making sure to involve Tomas Tatar. Under a post announcing that Lionel Messi will not be returning to Barcelona, Gally posted this:
"My sources tell me that he wants to be a Lilly White. It will be a tough competition for him in camp, but I think he can break our starting XI."
Artturi Lehkonen was quick to retort to his good friend in a sarcastic, but friendly, way we like it.
"Of course my buddy (mocking emoji) keep dreaming!"
It may not be much, but to me, it shows how family-like the atmosphere at the Montreal Canadiens is. Gallagher and Lehkonen are two of the leaders of this team that is heading in the right direction.
