Before coming to the grandstand, Brendan Gallagher was waiting quietly with his head between his legs and his mouth smoking. It was coming out of his ears. We know that "Gally" is a great competitor, he leaves his heart on the ice every time he comes. However, like his teammates at the moment, he is "flat".

So, when he arrived in front of the reporters, he didn't mince his words towards himself... and his team. He is also aware that people will talk about it and that he will be talked about it when he goes shopping, but it is still up to them, the players, to keep their mouths shut.

"It's going to be tough, we're going to hear about it everywhere we go, but the good thing about our sport is that in a few days we'll have a chance to bounce back and hopefully show some character and get back on track," said Gallagher.

On the other hand, what I take away from Brendan Gallagher's leadership speech remains the following sentence:

"Outside of this locker room, people can say or think what they feel; inside this locker room, we have to have a mission and a goal in mind..." said Gallagher.

OKAY! Now, can the actions follow? Enough is enough, as my mentor used to tell me, you commit, you take action and you act with panache/character. Great statements at one time are all well and good, but they have to be transmitted on the ice. In the case of the Habs, this is the most important thing.

In short, shouldn't Geoff Molson make a public appearance to try a little hit, even if it's just a single? We're talking here!
