With Shea Weber on the sidelines for the entire season, one has to wonder about the possible strategy of making him a "Kucherov 2.0". But let's not forget one thing: Weber is 36 years old, not 28 like Kucherov.

Weber's recovery is not comparable since he has to heal an ankle, a knee, a thumb... And at this age, we recover less quickly. Not to mention that Weber would not be the type to accept staying in the infirmary if he was fit to play. If he's not playing, he can't play.

Also, as Guillaume Latendresse said, when he was younger, Weber could have just come back in the playoffs, but at 36, it's not the same. He needs to play some games in the season before he just shows up in the playoffs like a Kucherov at the top of his game and in his prime.

So, about the idea that Shea Weber could emerge as a genius in the playoffs, hold on a bit. If he plays in the playoffs, he would have played 7 or 8 regular games, which would be very surprising, unfortunately!
