As positive COVID-19 tests increase, the NHL has gone into alert mode.
The members at the helm of the Bettman Circuit have cancelled all organized team parties.
Players will no longer be able to open autograph sessions to the public, they will no longer be able to talk to people publicly and they will no longer be able to participate in charity events. All this, until further notice.
In addition, the NHL has asked players to limit the large number of people at holiday gatherings with their families.
"Due to the increase in COVID-19 infections and the number of teams affected, the NHL is stepping up measures
- Christmas parties cancelled immediately
- Unless otherwise directed by the NHL, players and staff cannot attend public autograph sessions, public and charity events.
- Players and staff must limit their contact with large gatherings for the holidays, including their own families, to limit the risk of infection in the NHL."
