As you may have noticed, defenseman Jeff Petry left the game against the Panthers in the third period.
He retreated to his team's dressing room and never returned.
During his post-game press conference, interim head coach Martin St-Louis confirmed the bad news.
Petry has a lower body injury and will have to sit out.
His case will be re-evaluated tomorrow.
This could open the door for Justin Barron to make his debut with the Canadiens.
