Carey Price will be back with the Montreal Canadiens next season, according to a Sportsnet journalist
The excellent Sportsnet journalist Eric Engels, who has been covering the Montreal Canadiens for over 13 years and has reliable sources, has just expressed a very interesting opinion.
According to him, goaltender Carey Price will be back with the Canadiens as of next season, even though he sold his residence in Montreal and his family moved out West. We love that!
Engels truly believes that Price will continue to be involved and will take on other official roles for the Habs.
"I think Carey Price will be ready to help in any way possible when he's here, but it's unlikely he'll take on other official roles until his contract expires in 2026.
I believe Price will be more involved in the Canadiens' foundation, even though he and his family returned to live in Kelowna, British Columbia, this summer. I know he intends to be very present in Montreal throughout the season.
We'll see what the future holds.
Price may be done playing, but I could see him emerging in the field of management, player development, or coaching."

He even mentioned later that, in his opinion, Carey will come back to have a permanent, full-time position within the Canadiens' organization once his playing contract is over (as a coach or advisor).
Wow.
It will be interesting to watch, but it's certain that it would be really great. After all, the Montreal Canadiens are Carey's second family.
It will have been his only team throughout his career.
