We told you about it during the 2022 NHL Combine, some high caliber prospects took the opportunity to get a little wet, and this is notably the case of Juraj Slafkovsky, who had mentioned he wanted to complete a trio with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield:
"That would make a pretty crazy trio, with Caufield and Suzuki (a pretty sick line). I think I'm the biggest of the three. They need someone bigger to get the pucks. And they are really skill players. It would be a good combination!" - Juraj Slafkovsky
So it was the turn of Caufield and Suzuki, to speak out, and see here what they had to say:
"He's a good player (Slafkovsky). He would fit in perfectly playing with Cole and me. We'll see." - Nick Suzuki
As my colleague David St-Jean reports, so the two young CH players agree that Juraj Slafkovsky could very well complete their trio.
Caufield then adds this:
"That would be great! I know he's a great player. I like playing with Nick too, so it's not a bad idea!"
That's what Caufield said with a smile when asked about Slafkovsky's proposal.
In any case, the message of the youngsters towards their DG Kent Hughes is clear:
"We'll be happy no matter who is chosen."
We are so looking forward to July 7!
