During his appearance today on BPM Sports, expert Norman Flynn had a lot to say about Martin St-Louis and the end-of-season assessment of the Montreal Canadiens.

It's making waves on the web.

Basically, according to him, the Canadiens simply made excuses to justify themselves during the end-of-season assessment.

Flynn also directly targets head coach Martin St-Louis.

« Too many excuses, I don't like excuses. Last year, I said not to judge Martin St-Louis, it wasn't his team. This year, it was his team and there are things I didn't like. For example, we're at game #50 and you're still talking to me about your defensive system, listen, if your defensive system isn't there by game 50, there's a serious problem. You can have a lot of young players, but a game system is not that complicated. » - Norman Flynn

Wow! He's not holding back!

However, let's not forget that even at game number 50, Martin had a lineup composed of players who had barely ten games of experience in the National Hockey League, with the arrival of players such as Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Alex Belzile, Jesse Ylonen, Sean Farrell, and others.

Flynn does not seem to consider that St-Louis had to constantly start over due to numerous injuries and the phenomenal number of new players who were joining his lineup every week.

At one point during the year, nearly a dozen players who had started the season in Montreal were missing, as our colleagues at Marqueur mention.

We do not agree with Norman Flynn's analysis here.
