See the official shocking press release just issued by the Montreal Canadiens:
The Montreal Canadiens organization have issued the following medical update for forward Cole Caufield.
Caufield suffered a season-ending injury to his right shoulder and will undergo surgery in the near future. An update of his recovery period will be issued after the medical procedures. This is catastrophic news for the Montreal Canadiens and their fans.
Caufield, 22 years old, ends his 2022-23 season with 26 goals and 36 points in 46 games (pace of 47 goals and 65 points per full season)
"This is some of the worst news this Habs season could produce. Cole Caufield missing the rest of the season because of shoulder surgery is pretty appalling."
- Marc Antoine Godin, The Athletic
We will provide more details as soon as we can.
