We are obviously talking here about the "Team Canada Junior 2018" scandal.
Reminder of what we already know:
- After months of investigations, the NHL would be on the verge of suspending 5 players in connection with this scandal, and some journalists already know the identity of these five players.
- On July 10, Frank Seravalli stated that he believes a major announcement is imminent in this case, and that some NHL teams are already preparing for the consequences of the suspensions of some of their players.
- Andy Strickland has advanced that five NHL players, including some very well-known names, will be suspended shortly by the NHL. We are talking here about heavy suspensions.
Now here's the twist of the day in this case.
Let us recall that, following the outbreak of this scandal, several players from the 2018 edition of Team Canada Junior have come out publicly to say that they had nothing to do with this horrible story.
They have therefore been ruled out by several from the "list of suspects."
In fact, all the players on this team, except eight names, have cleared themselves of this matter.
Many have therefore taken for granted that the eight silent players were more suspicious than the others, shall we say.
Well, no!
The reputable Frank Seravalli just dropped a bomb, stating that some of the players who released a statement to disassociate themselves from the crime would actually be among the suspended players. Wow.
And the exact statement from the journalist:
This is big. Clearly, the journalists already know the 5 names in question, and some are surprising. We are talking here about players with nice careers in the NHL.
To be continued, but it could stir things up soon!
