Five Montreal Canadiens prospects to watch closely in Tampa: 16 teams in the running
The NCAA playoffs are well underway. Only 16 teams are now left in the running for the traditional and highly anticipated Frozen Four tournament, which will be held April 6-8 in Tampa.
The American college circuit announced this Sunday evening the matches of the next semester, and the CH fans will be served. Indeed, no less than five of the club's hopefuls will be competing.
Starting on Thursday afternoon, the excellent Lane Hutson, who recently received the title of best rookie in his league, will face off with his Boston University teammate Luke Tuch. It was Hutson who sent his team into the next round with a beautiful overtime goal on Saturday night.
On Thursday night, it will be Rhett Pitlick's turn to play as Minnesota will face Canisius. The little brother of the current CH player, Rem Pitlick, has put a lot of eyes on the game this weekend with a great goal!
Rounding out the week is Harvard forward Sean Farrell, who will face off against Ohio State goalie Jakub Dobes.
Farrell, who was recently named a top-10 finalist for the prestigious Hobey Baker Trophy with Lane Hutson, could very well get along with the CH if he loses this game. However, we bet he'd rather postpone it for a chance to make it to the end of the tournament!
