Five players Suspended by the NHL in Connection with 2018 Junior Team Canada: Latest Statement from Bill Daly

It's surprising how long this issue has been on hold, but then again, according to Bill Daly and the NHL, a major announcement is always "imminent."

As part of an interview just conducted by Michael Russo of The Athletic, the NHL's Deputy Commissioner responded to recent rumors regarding the investigation into the 2018 Canadian junior team.

At the same time, it's going to become inevitable, because the NHL certainly cannot wait until the beginning of the NHL training camps, and the camps are starting very soon. Time is pressing for them.

Recall that, according to reliable sources, five players, including some very well-known names, will be suspended by the NHL shortly (following the investigation).

"... The investigation needs to take the time it needs to take. We want to do a thorough job and have all the possible information. It's the right thing to do under the circumstances. I believe we should expect to unveil the investigation report very soon."
