National Hockey League bosses Bill Daly and Gary Bettman were in front of the media in the final seconds to reflect on the NHL executives' meeting in Florida.
Among the takeaways was this:
Gary Bettman confirmed that the NHL draft will indeed be held in Montreal. "There will be fans in the building and we look forward to it," the commissioner said. - Luc Gélinas
Recall that in the NHL All-Star Game, Bettman had announced that the plan was to move the draft and take it out of Montreal, because of the measures too strict.
Finally, with the restrictions lifted, it is confirmed, the 2022 NHL draft will indeed take place in Montreal.
Great news! In addition, the Canadiens will have the opportunity to draft very early, possibly even at the very first pick.
More details to follow!
