Clearly, in any case, there has already been a lot of movement on the Montreal Canadiens' roster in the last few days and clearly, the lineup has changed a lot.
So it's interesting to see what our Habs lineup looks like, as of today, but with a little addition.
As we know, we have to add the names of Kirby Dach, Michael Matheson and Juraj Slafkovsky (who will probably start in Montreal), but we also decided here, for the sake of the exercise, to add another very special name.
Here are the possible trios and duos, of the Montreal Canadiens, for the 2022-23 season (if Kent Hughes manages to acquire a certain Pierre-Luc Dubois):
Juraj Slafkovsky - Nick Suzuki - Cole Caufield
Jonathan Drouin - Pierre-Luc Dubois - Josh Anderson
Mike Hoffman - Kirby Dach - Brendan Gallagher
Evgenii Dadonov - Jake Evans - Joel Armia
Extras: Michael Pezzetta, Paul Byron
We've removed Christian Dvorak here, because it's almost 100% certain that he would be involved in the trade to bring Dubois to Montreal.
It could also be the case of Josh Anderson, so we could replace him with Evgenii Dadonov, who is capable of playing on the right.
Defense:
Kaiden Guhle - Michael Matheson*
Joel Edmundson - Justin Barron
Chris Wideman
Goalies:
*According to what Kent Hughes said today, Matheson can play both sides.
And you, what would be your 2022-23 Montreal Canadiens trios and duos, if we manage to get Dubois?
