We learned this noon from TSN's excellent John Lu that Habs prospect Logan Mailloux is currently in town. Lu says that the defenseman will be rehabbing from his shoulder surgery here in town.
Mailloux will be getting back into shape at Quartexx, Kent Hughes' former agency, not at the Habs' facility.
The Canadiens' first round pick in 2021 played 12 games with the London Knights of the OHL last season before seeing his season end prematurely with a shoulder injury suffered in March. He had three goals and six assists.
Kent Hughes recently stated that the team has no intention of negotiating a contract with Logan Mailloux as the organization still values Mailloux as a person and a member of the community.
So it would not be surprising if Hughes went to his former location during the summer to meet face to face with the young man and get a better idea of the person.
