The state of health and rehabilitation of goalie Carey Price continues to be followed closely, especially as his current attempt to return to the game looks very promising.
Last night, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports, had good news on this subject:
"Carey's not doing well just a little...He's doing great! Today (Wednesday) he received shots in practice and he was on the ice for 45 minutes. We are no longer talking about the small 10-15 minutes sessions of a few weeks ago! All of which means that unless the swelling comes back, Carey Price will be playing hockey this year. He has reached another level in his rehabilitation. The goal, for Carey Price, is to return to the game somewhere in April. We still have time, but Carey really wants to play hockey in April."
Very encouraging and very positive!
Today, during the podcast On jase, on RDS, the excellent Stéphane Leroux mentioned that Price could indeed continue his rehabilitation with the Laval Rocket.
Still according to Leroux, who chatted with former Habs goalkeeper coach Stéphane Waite, playing a few games in Laval (before joining the Canadians) would be an excellent idea.
Remember that Waite himself recently mentioned that he is convinced that Carey will play this season.
«Maybe next week, towards the end of next week, the Rocket plays two games. Who knows, we could perhaps see him as we saw last year, [...] at the end of the season, a question of fitness." - Stephane Leroux
If it's not next week, note that the Rocket will notably be at Place Bell (in Laval) from April 5 to 9 for three games.
These are possibly dates to circle. Do you like the idea?
