It has just been confirmed for Samuel Montembeault and it's bad news for his partner, Jake Allen
This is absolutely the right decision, but the veteran Jake Allen will unfortunately still have to be patient.
The Canadiens have just confirmed that Samuel Montembeault will be in goal tonight!
«Samuel Montembeault will defend the goal against the Bruins.» - Montreal Canadiens
Martin St-Louis is treating him more and more like the team's #1 goalie and we love it. It's absolutely deserved!
The player, who is the 5th best goalie in the NHL according to advanced statistics, has a record of 10-6-4 this season, with an average of 2.85 goals allowed per game and an efficiency rate of 0.910.
Samuel Montembeault will now face David Pastrnak and the Bruins, live from Boston. A good challenge for him!
As for Jake Allen, he's had only three tiny starts for over a month. (since December 18)
Do you believe it's really time to trade him?
