Marc Bergevin was close to his players, he showed it many times. However, he was also VERY strict as a boss.
The former Habs general manager had instituted an important rule with his players. They were not allowed to warm up without their helmets.
However, Jeff Gorton has corrected this in his first week in charge. He has a totally different way of operating, allowing veterans to participate in warm-ups with their helmets off in Nashville. Does it seem that Gorton has a more relaxed style than Bergevin?
The veterans seemed to appreciate this new rule instituted by the new big man. Most of the veterans were not wearing the helmet. That says a lot about what the players thought about Marc Bergevin's operation...
