In the case of KK, the Habs lost a player who is slow to blossom and could do so in Carolina. The Canadiens also lost one of its beautiful smiles as the Finn was always caught with a smile on his face. Kotkaniemi is a good human being, even if he accepted the huge offer that was put on the end of his nose. In fact, he delivered a nice farewell message on the Instagram platform.
"It's really hard to say goodbye to Montreal. I've had the best years of my life so far in one of the greatest hockey cities in the world and I will always cherish these last three years.
Playing in the NHL, representing the Habs and coming so close to winning the Stanley Cup was a dream come true. I have nothing but the utmost respect for the Habs owners, management, coaching staff, teammates and the great passionate fans. I thank you all so much. Thank you so much!
It's time to move on. I feel extremely privileged to continue my career with the Carolina Hurricanes. I have heard nothing but good things about the team, the organization, the fans and the city of Raleigh.
I look forward to joining the Canes and giving them my best to achieve the ultimate goal in hockey. Thank you!"
The Fanadiens team really wants Jesperi Kotkaniemi to develop and discover himself as a hockey player. On the other hand, it is very pleased and happy with the arrival of Christian Dvorak, who is an upgrade from Kotkaniemi at the time of composing this brief post.
