Lane Hutson just revealed who his favorite player from the Montreal Canadiens is and his answer is very interesting
Even though he hasn't played a single game in the Canadiens' uniform yet, we are pretty much all excited to see Lane Hutson in a Habs jersey.
However, patience will be required as the young defensive prospect will be playing with Boston University in 2023-2024. But we can start imagining the day when the American defenseman will wear the Canadiens uniform, and we might already have a little idea of which player from the current team roster could become a true winger.
As reported by Habsolumentfan.com, Hutson mentioned on the HabsOnReddit site that his favorite player on the Canadiens right now is his fellow countryman Cole Caufield.
"I have to go with Cole Caufield. He comes from the US National Team program and he's a natural scorer with so much talent. He's a player I love watching, and he seems like a really good guy too."
The connection is easy to make as both come from the NCAA and there's some similarity in terms of stature.
Jokes aside, a power play that could potentially count on Caufield and Hutson has the potential to become quite interesting over the next few years, knowing the passing skills of the young defensive prospect and especially the blistering shot of number 22.
Obviously, we're talking about a simple reflection on Hutson's part, but it will be intriguing to follow this possible collaboration between the two American players over the next few years.
