Last minute announcement about Samuel Montembeault sparks significant reactions
In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens announced an interesting decision regarding their goaltenders.
Following the complete collapse against the Florida Panthers, it's ultimately Samuel Montembeault who will be tasked with turning things around against the powerful Tampa Bay Lightning.
Samuel Montembeault will be the starting goaltender against the Lightning tomorrow night.
Marty St-Louis:
"We chose Monty. I think it wasn't an easy situation for him to return to the game. I think he did a good job when he came back."

This decision is causing quite a stir on social media, but it's a great choice!
It will be interesting to see how Montembeault will bounce back, as well as the entire Montreal defense, especially since, as you already know, Tampa Bay is not necessarily going through a good stretch.
More details will follow.
Montembeault, 26, has a record of 13-13-3 this season, with a 3.34 goals-against average and a 0.904 save percentage.
He skillfully returned to last night's game after starting, being replaced by Jake Allen, and then replacing Allen again.
