Last minute announcement from the Montreal Canadiens and it's a good decision
In recent hours, the Montreal Canadiens have announced that it will finally be on Tuesday, November 14th, that the organization will pay tribute to the 25th captain of the Canadiens, Pierre Turgeon!
"On Tuesday, November 14th, join us in paying tribute to the 25th captain of the Canadiens, Pierre Turgeon!" - Montreal Canadiens
Tickets are on sale, and there will be a special presentation during the game against the Calgary Flames.
Turgeon will join the pantheon and will now have his place among the Canadiens legends who are members of the team's Ring of Honor.
Turgeon, the former first overall pick in the NHL draft in 1995, was indeed the 25th captain of the team, and he scored 96 points in 80 games during his only full season with the Canadiens.
In total, he accumulated 1327 points in 19 NHL seasons.
