In the last few minutes, the sports director at Le Nouvelliste, Steve Turcotte, made a major announcement regarding Montreal Canadiens' goaltender Samuel Montembeault.
«Samuel Montembeault will participate in the World Championship. He will likely be the number one goaltender for Team Canada.»
Wow! Who would have predicted that a year ago? What a rise!
It's all to Samuel's credit, and it will be really interesting to keep an eye on him.
Please note that the next World Hockey Championship will take place from May 12 to 28.
Also note that the news has not yet been officially confirmed, but Steve Turcotte is an excellent source, so it should be confirmed soon.
Details to follow.
It should be recalled that Stéphane Waite had started the rumor a few days ago.
