On this matter, journalist Chris Johnston (TSN) has just revealed that, even though McDavid is indeed very disappointed with the verdict and the turn of events, he will not be appealing the suspension.
«Although there was some disappointment following the three-game suspension handed to Connor McDavid by the NHL's Department of Player Safety, the Oilers captain has decided not to appeal this decision, according to sources.»

Former Canadiens forward Corey Perry weighed in on the suspension, stating that the league should do more to protect its superstar players.
