"The Canadiens agree on the terms of a one-season, two-way contract with forward Mitchell Stephens."
- Montreal Canadiens Stephens, 26, is a 33rd overall pick from the Tampa Bay Lightning. He racked up a solid 41 points (20 goals) in 68 games last season in the American Hockey League.
He also has 79 games of NHL experience with the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Detroit Red Wings.
