An interesting piece of information emerged following the appointment of John Sedgwick as assistant to general manager Kent Hughes.
Now that he has a bigger role and a big promotion, he will have more of a say in the decisions the Canadiens make.
This situation leads many experts to believe that Logan Mailloux's future in Montreal could be in jeopardy.
Why? Because Sedgwick is the only internal leader who absolutely did not want the Habs to select Logan Mailloux, during the last draft.
He did not want him.
Personally, I don't think Sedgwick's appointment should change anything for Logan Mailloux, given that the decision will be taken by Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton, and also, given that it's already been done. He was drafted and he belongs to the Habs.
Could Sedgwick swallow the pill and welcome Mailloux with the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge? To be continued...
Many experts are talking about that today.
The young defenseman currently has nine points in seven games this season with the London Knights of the OHL. He is really impressive on the ice.
