Honestly, I have no idea how to analyze the current situation with the Montreal Canadiens drafting the one who yelled at NHL teams not to draft him. He didn't want to be drafted this year because he committed an act of sexual misconduct, proving that he lacked maturity.

However, Trevor Timmins and Marc Bergevin decided to draft him at No. 31 after potentially lengthy discussions with the 18-year-old defenseman and his victim. At his morning press conference, Mailloux addressed the media and then gave himself up to them in a very mature manner.

Before answering questions from the journalists, he read a message in French and English: "I thank them for believing in a second chance and I don't want to abandon them. I want to use my personal story to be part of the solution in the future."

Mailloux said the Montreal Canadiens are committed to making him a better human... He again indicated that he had apologized to the victim many times and that the apology was very sincere. Of course, he called it the stupidest thing he has ever done and he is willing to do anything for forgiveness. He has been in therapy for several days in order to maximize his chances of regaining the trust of Montreal fans.

In short, it seems that the Habs and the Mailloux clan have not spoken since Tuesday, the day the news was shared excessively on the networks. Really? I can't believe that because it doesn't make sense.

In the end, does the Montreal Canadiens encourage this kind of act? I believe that the organization believes in this second chance and that they are on a mission to make a human being better.
