MAJOR TURNAROUND: Logan Mailloux did not receive approval from Gary Bettman after all, and it's absurd
Are you starting to find this issue a bit too complicated? So are we.
However, our job is to report the information and new twists, and there has just been one.
See what can be read in the text just published by the excellent Jonathan Bernier, from the Journal de Montréal:
The Canadiens have not yet received official confirmation from the NHL regarding the absolution that Gary Bettman offered to Logan Mailloux to allow him to play in the NHL. Jonathan Bernier So, it would seem that this matter is still not resolved. Incredible...
Of course, let's recall what journalist Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports recently reported:
"According to several sources, Logan Mailloux has been given the green light to play in the NHL when he secures a position with the Canadiens, which puts an end to all speculation."
As Marc-Olivier Cook points out, the narrative seems to have shifted since Renaud Lavoie's publication.
Bernier (JDM) took a completely different direction by stating the opposite.
So, we continue to closely follow this issue.
We remain optimistic, but it seems a bit ridiculous for the NHL to drag this on. Why not just give the green light and move on to another matter?
Young Mailloux must be eager to finally move on and genuinely think about the next season. (We are too, by the way)
