We can officially add a new date to our calendars.
According to what the renowned Pierre LeBrun of TSN just announced, the NHL trade deadline will be March 8th. It has just been decided.
So, at that time, Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens will have significant decisions to make, especially regarding players like Sean Monahan.
Let's remember that last season, around the 2023 trade deadline, the Canadiens' General Manager notably acquired Denis Gurianov, in exchange for Evgeny Dadonov.
There's also the Quebec native Fred Allard, who joined the Canadiens' organization, in return for Nate Schnarr.
Hughes might be much more active this year as his team is on the verge of "turning the corner" and starting to aim for the playoffs.
