Major announcement from the Montreal Canadiens: a young forward has officially been added to Martin St-Louis' plans and it's Jesse Ylonen
Following the major announcement from the Montreal Canadiens yesterday, especially with the decision to place Joel Armia on waivers, it confirms an interesting fact (especially with this morning's announcement about Emil Heineman).
As reported by Marco D'Amico, Jesse Ylonen has made the lineup!
He is therefore added to Martin St-Louis' plans, and the head coach will have the task of finding him a spot in his lineup.
"Jesse Ylonen has officially made the opening roster for the Montreal Canadiens."
This means, for this lineup:
Suzuki, Caufield, Dach, Slafkovsky, Newhook, Anderson, Monahan, Pearson, RHP, Gallagher, Evans, Pezzetta
Matheson, Savard, Guhle, Harris, Xhekaj, Kovacevic, Barron
Montembeault, Allen, Primeau
We now officially have to add Ylonen and it will be interesting to see his role.
Mission accomplished for Ylonen!
Ylonen, 24 years old, was the 35th overall pick in the 2018 draft. He collected 16 points in 37 games with the Canadiens last season and 32 points in 39 games with the Laval Rocket.
Where do you see him in the lineup?
