OFFICIAL: St-Louis reveals his final lines to start the season, and there's a surprise on the first line
In the last few moments, the Montreal Canadiens have officially revealed Martin St-Louis's starting lines for the 2023 season.
Finally.
Here are the combinations:
Caufield-Suzuki-Anderson
Newhook-Dach-Slaf
Pearson-Monahan-Gallagher
Harevey-Pinard-Evans-Ylonen
Matheson-Savard
Guhle-Kovacevic
Harris-Xhekaj
Barron as the rotating (7th)
This means that, to everyone's surprise, it's Josh Anderson who will start on the 1st line, alongside Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield. (even though it never really worked out)
It won't be Sean Monahan, Kirby Dach, or Alex Newhook.
As for Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, he'll still need to prove himself and will start on the 4th line, with Jake Evans and Jesse Ylonen.
On defense, Justin Barron is indeed the seventh defenseman.
Details to follow.
What are your thoughts on these initial official lines?
